Gotham: season one, episode 1
TV Review | Ed Williamson | 25th September 2014
Since the dawn of time, man has struggled with the eternal question. Should Batman be camper than a chicken, or dark and embittered, brooding in the shadows and all miffed, like? Well, here's FOX's solution: how about a bit of both? (Spoiler-free.)

Helix: Season One DVD
TV Review | Iain Robertson | 28th June 2014
Helix's first season, out on DVD and Blu-ray on Monday, suffered for Channel 5's capricious scheduling, but has a lot to enjoy. A lot more than most things on Channel 5, anyway.

Hang on, I could've sworn we all hated Jim Davidson?
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 30th January 2014
There was surprise this week in my household, which consists of me, that Jim Davidson won Celebrity Big Brother. I was under the impression that everyone thought he was a cunt. Then I realised something: he won because he's a cunt.

New record set for living in house with Jim Davidson
TV News | Ed Williamson | 9th January 2014
As the latest season of Celebrity Big Brother entered its seventh day this morning, the remaining contestants entered the Guinness Book of World Records for having continuously lived with Jim Davidson for longer than any other person, living or dead. The previous record was held by John Virgo, who managed a six-day stint on a Big Break promotional residency at a Butlins holiday camp in the early 1990s.

A few of my favourite tweets from The Wright Stuff
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 4th November 2013
Every weekday morning while waiting for the train, I like to use my mobile telephone to look at Twitter, in order to stave off the necessity of reading the book I've had in my bag for the last eight months. At that time of day, my feed is largely composed of people who think it's acceptable to tweet "Good morning!" every day, Rio Ferdinand live-tweeting the school run, and a stream of nonsense from The Wright Stuff account that I have come to believe may be an intentional dadaist art experiment.

Atkinson race row shocks Celebrity Big Brother producers
TV News | Ed Williamson | 26th August 2013
Celebrity Big Brother producers today expressed surprise that Ron Atkinson had said something racist on the show. "It came right out of the blue," a spokesperson confirmed. "It's not as if, outside football, he's most well known for having publicly made a racist remark. Mainly we wanted him on the show to talk about his remarkable 1991 Rumbelows Cup campaign with Sheffield Wednesday. It never occurred to us he might say something controversial.
"All this is going to do is attract a lot of publicity to the show, which is the last thing we wanted. But we've used Big Brother's system of arbitrary made-up rules to give him a formal warning, and we consider that an end to the matter." -
Auditions for Under The Dome: just look up
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 20th August 2013
"Yes, that's good. Now can you say, 'What the fuck is that, some sort of fucking dome?' ... Yes, but more incredulous ... Fine, fine, we'll call you."

Shower off the stink of The Following with two great things
TV News | Ed Williamson | 30th April 2013
I know, it was horrific. But it's over now. And Hannibal's first season and Justified's fourth begin on Sky Living and 5USA next week. Trust me, good TV is just around the corner. Pick yourself up and start again.
