NBC buys rights to The Bible season two

Hugely popular miniseries The Bible has been bought by NBC for a second season. This follows a controversial finale which saw its lead character killed off, only to be hastily brought back in the next episode after an outcry from fans, in scenes recalling the infamous 'Bobby in the shower' sequence from Dallas.
