Cool Sex Tape poster, but why is Cameron Diaz in her pants again?
Movie News | Ali Gray | 18th March 2014
I like the concept for this poster for Sex Tape - a movie starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz about a sex tape starring Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz - but it's one of the more flagrantly sexist posters I've seen recently. So Cameron Diaz has to appear in tiny pants but Jason Segel gets pyjamas? And socks? Don't get me wrong, I've seen enough of Jason Segel's genitals to last me a lifetime, but he could have at least rocked a boxer. TUT TUT.

The Five-Year Engagement
Movie Review | Ali | 20th June 2012
I've been putting off my review of The Five-Year Engagement for ages now, despite having written notes at the screening I attended about two weeks ago. Exhaustion is about to consume me, so instead of putting the review off for another day, I'm just going to forget about the in between parts and fancy words and cohesion that comes with a proper write-up and just let you read my raw notes. Think of it as an interesting case study. Or, like a massively lazy excuse for a post. Sorry. Normal service will resume soon. Most probably.

The Muppets
Movie Review | Ali | 11th February 2012
I'm not quite old enough to have enjoyed The Muppet Show the first time around, so despite being a fan of Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal and all things Henson, I never really had Kermit and co as cultural touchstones growing up. However, even without that built-in base of nostalgia, I can wholeheartedly recommend The Muppets' big-screen comeback to moviegoers young, old and in between – I can't remember the last time I giggled so long and hard at such wanton silliness.

Films on TV round-up: exes, excitement and explosions
TV Feature | Matt Looker | 26th June 2011
Eds disappeared from the internet for the weekend so Im covering his regular Films on TV throughout the week feature. Only Im short on time, so Ive done a rush job with far less research and far more nonsensical rambling. Shit, is it too late to still put his name at the top of this?

Bad Teacher
Movie Review | Ali | 2nd June 2011
If you're going to call your movie Bad Teacher and openly invite comparisons to Bad Santa, you'd better make sure your Teacher actually is Bad, and not just... y'know, a bit shit.

Prepare to lose your shit for The Muppets trailer
Movie Trailer | Luke | 23rd May 2011
We could keep up the pretence that this trailer for 'Green With Envy' isn't a viral campaign for The Muppets, but it's Disney who are the deceptive party here, not us.

Bad Teacher trailer: Cameron Diaz is a naughty girl
Movie Trailer | Ali | 23rd February 2011
Cameron Diaz's new movie, Bad Teacher, has a red-band trailer. Let's just say she hasn't got a hope in Hell of passing her OFSTED inspection at this rate. And that's no laughing matter.
