Wesley Snipes pilot "definitely won't go tits-up"
TV News | Ed Williamson | 23rd February 2015
Wesley Snipes's TV pilot, Endgame, definitely won't go to shit in a shopping trolley, insiders say.
"There's no safer pair of hands in the business than Snipes," said an NBC executive. "If you want someone to show up on time, be content with the modest rider laid on in his trailer and get on famously with the creative team, that's Wesley. That's why I didn't hesitate to personally approve his casting.
"Hot in here, isn't it? I feel like it's hot in here." -
Somehow this is Nick Offerman's Wikipedia picture
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 21st February 2014
No, me neither. Maybe they're doing a Duke Nukem movie and he got the lead role? (HT to Rob.)

Community: The Complete Third Season DVD
TV Review | Rob Young | 26th September 2013
Much like Ed did a year ago in his review of Community season two, I find it a tricky, almost daunting prospect to review an entire season of something, even more so when I haven't had time to watch all 22 episodes. Look, I've just been super busy lately (catching up with Breaking Bad). But if the rest of the third season of Community is as sharp, original, and self-knowing as what I've already seen, then hell, my job's already half done.

They're remaking Ironside and he cares little for your damn rules
TV Video | Ed Williamson | 4th July 2013
At last, a cop who doesn't do things by the book. For too long we've had to endure TV drama about policemen who are sticklers for convention and would rather do paperwork than be out on the streets getting their hands dirty. Full trailer here. -

NBC buys rights to The Bible season two
TV News | Ed Williamson | 1st July 2013
Hugely popular miniseries The Bible has been bought by NBC for a second season. This follows a controversial finale which saw its lead character killed off, only to be hastily brought back in the next episode after an outcry from fans, in scenes recalling the infamous 'Bobby in the shower' sequence from Dallas.

Community renewed for fifth season, negating pun I thought of
TV News | Ed Williamson | 11th May 2013
Community landed a 13-episode fifth season at NBC yesterday. This is splendid news, but it does mean I have no reason to use the headline 'Troy and Abed in the mourning' that I thought of a couple of weeks ago when I was pretty sure it'd be cancelled. Remind me when it happens and I'll throw it in somewhere.

Shower off the stink of The Following with two great things
TV News | Ed Williamson | 30th April 2013
I know, it was horrific. But it's over now. And Hannibal's first season and Justified's fourth begin on Sky Living and 5USA next week. Trust me, good TV is just around the corner. Pick yourself up and start again.

Parks and Recreation: Season One DVD
TV Review | Ed Williamson | 2nd April 2013
I know you have to reckon BBC4's amazing if you're middle class, but in the main I could do without hour-long documentaries about iron filings on a Thursday night. If I get a say how my licence fee's spent, though, I'm happy to sign off on Parks and Recreation.

Seven other Smiths songs being turned into TV pilots
TV Feature | Ed Williamson | 25th March 2013
If there's one thing that connotes good writing, it's when someone comes up with the title first then shoehorns in a premise to fit it. Step forward NBC's comedy pilot, Girlfriend in a Coma.
