With Kick-Ass's Hit-Girl and Jaden Smith's Karate Kid out later this year, hard-ass midgets are all the rage. I've got my nephew some nunchucks for his fifth birthday, y'know, start him off early.
Sony has released the latest trailer for their reboot of the 1984 classic, The Karate Kid. It's caused uproar amongst our more sensitive peers on message boards and Twitter; their beef? Jackie Chan's character, Mr Han, actually teaches young Dre Parker the art of Kung-Fu, and not Karate. Cue anti-Hollywood drum-banging and set CAPS LOCK to TARD.
In fact, the movie's synopsis tells us that Dre has a basic knowledge of Karate already, but gets his ass kicked a lot and is mockingly referred to as 'the Karate Kid'. The studios aren't that stupid. Just another example of people jumping on the outraged bandwagon without learning the facts. Tsk.
Aaaanyway, the trailer. It honestly looks like The Karate Kid could be a good, fun, film, even thought "Jacket on, jacket off," is a terrible replacement for "Wax on, wax off". Hur hur. 'Jacket off'. Hur hur. 'Wax off'.
So in conclusion, if you like watching small children artfully beat the crap out of each other, and crude masturbation puns, this is the movie for you. Also, I've forwarded your details onto the FBI and you're now on some kind of list.
