It's the new Woodsy Allen movie! Everybody put your adopted kids in the loft!

Just by watching the trailer for Woody Allen's You Will Meet A Tall, Dark Stranger you can already tell how offbeat and kooky it's going to be, primarily because Allen's credit rotates to a slightly jaunty angle. It is on.

This comedy ensemble stars Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Freida Pinto, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas and loads of other British people who have probably been in at least six Richard Curtis movies each.

"After Alfie leaves his wife Helena to pursue his lost youth and a free-spirited call girl named Charmaine, Helena abandons rationality and surrenders her life to the loopy advice of a charlatan fortune teller.

Happy in her marriage, Sally develops a crush on her handsome art gallery owner boss, Greg, while Roy, a novelist nervously awaiting the response to his latest manuscript, becomes moonstruck over Dia, a mystery woman who catches his gaze through a nearby window.

Despite these characters' attempts to dodge their problems with pipe dreams and impracticable plans, their efforts lead only to heartache, irrationality, and perilous hot water."
Looks pretty bleh as far as Woody Allen projects go. Hard to get too excited. I only saw Vicky Cristina Barcelona because of the ScarJo-PenCruz-JavBard threesome, and I'll only watch Whatever Works because Larry David is awesome, even when he's doing a Woody Allen impression. This? I see no threesomes or grouchy New Yorkers struggling with social niceties.

Still, the cast is fantastic. Something about Aussie chicks trying a British accent just does it for me. Hard as diamonds, I am. But then, I'm really just an old romantic at heart.
