Thanks, guys. Glad everyone seems to have enjoyed the list, despite the glaring omission of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. Still kicking myself about that.

I was thinking Die Hard all the way through. Good job.

It's more of a throw anyway.

Yeah, but that's from the Feast series, and really, no one likes those. Or at least, no one should, because they're pretty terrible.

I don't think anyone who has seen this clip from the Top 50 Cinema Deaths could forget it.

Oh no he isn't, he put Gruber at the rightful place of number 1 and included a Sharky's Machine reference.

I seriously cannot believe I forgot Bogus Journey. That entire scene kills me. When they just keep screaming, and then stop, and Bill says, "Dude, this is a totally deep hole!" And then the screaming starts again. Also, the game of 20 questions; "Are you a tank?" Gah! I'm so ashamed now that I didn't include that.

Was thinking '300' but then I suppose a good fall has to have a bad landing to count.

Great list. Another movie fall that springs immediately to mind is in 'Bogus Journey' when Bill and Ted fall down to hell for ages and get bored so they play 20 questions on the way down... Man, I love me some Bogus Journey.

Glad you put Gruber at no.1, sat there reading thinking "If it's not Gruber then it's a silly list".
Only other one I'd put is the toddler at the beginning of Antichrist, for the pure horror of no cutaway/falling behind a skip.

**edit**
And so happy to see Sharky's Machine there. I love that movie

Haha, excellent. Love the clip of Michael Ironside plummeting, armless, to his death. 80's cheesey action Arnie was the greatest. Must have been hard to resist the obvious "he's armless" gag...
