Review: Zack And Miri Make A Porno

Finally got around to watching this and found it solidly entertaining. A bit of a dry patch laugh wise in the middle. Miri was definitely a woman written by a bloke though.

Highlight? Justin Long.

Saw this recently and wasn't too impressed. The story was maybe a little /too/ unbelievable, especially when the characters are meant to be rooted by problems we can relate to. It wasn't particularly funny either. Some people might find Seth Rogen swearing for an hour funny, but I do not.

If you want a film with a similar premise but more heart and warmth, Be Kind Rewind manages it, even though it also isn't that funny and also contains the intensely irritating Jack Black. Failing that, Batteries Not Included.

Just watched this again, on Blu-ray no less, so I can see the scat porn in blistering HD. A little disappointing second time round, too much clever-clever swearing and not enough story polish. I love Elizabeth Banks but there's very little 'real woman' in her here - it's alarming how quickly she agrees to fuck for cash, particularly as they can already afford to hire four other porn actors.

Still, Justin Long made me laugh. "More like Glen and Gary eat Ross's meaty cock."

I loved it, its exactly what Kevin Smith does best, he can do no wrong in my eyes! And if it werent for him, Jason Mewes would have no career at all!
