Lisa Edelstein ain't coming back no mo' for season eight of House. Women, eh? Always leaving you when you're the highest-paid TV actor in the world.

With House season seven about to wrap up, Lisa Edelstein's announced that she's not signing on for the eighth and probably final run.

This leaves the show-runners with some tough questions to answer, like how they write the character out of it without the actress available for an exit episode. Still, when Kal Penn had to skip town for the White House they managed to turn it into one of the best episodes ever:

After much consideration, I am moving onward with a combination of disappointment at leaving behind a character I have loved playing for seven years and excitement of the new opportunities in acting and producing that lie ahead.
"Disappointment", eh? So basically they offered her less money. Probably after watching the shit sandwich they served up when she got her own episode in season six.
