Those crazy guys at Pixar are at it again - if they're not making us laugh at toys or making us cry at old people, they're making us go "nnNNNYYOOOOWWWwww!" at cars.
So, after the disappointingly short teaser trailer that was released last month, we now have more footage of Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) and his sad-sack circle of gormless friends as they somehow get embroiled in an internation spy mission. Zzzzz...huh? Wha-?
Personally I think plucking a plot about spies out of nowhere, and especially releasing it with this tagline of "Going where no car has gone before", smacks of the kind of lazy writing you'd expect from a company that knows it can animate a dog's bowel movement and sell it to millions of kids the world over. And then go on to win an Oscar for it.
But this is Pixar and it is literally impossible to criticise them without being smited by a giant Buzz Lightyear. No, I didn't mean it! Of course, it won't be shit, it's Pixaaaaaaargh! (*ZAP*)
