Emma Stone offered Mary-Jane in Spider-Man reboot

Update: Emma Stone was actually cast as Gwen Stacy, not Mary-Jane. Sorry about that. Blame the internet. --- Face it movie fans...you just hit the jackpot, as the star of the surprise hit Easy A might swing with Andrew Garfield in the Spider-Man reboot.
Sony has reportedly offered the role of the fictional ginger firebrand Mary-Jane Watson to real life ginger firebrand Emma Stone. She was in the running for the Spider-Man role pretty much since the beginning, but the minute her latest film, Easy A, started to gain some steam at the box office, Sony leapt at the chance to get Hollywood's latest "It" girl attached to their biggest property.
Stone has not committed to the role yet, and she could still turn it down, though she'd have to be crazy to do that (of course, she is a red-head, and they are all a little nuts).
For now though, it is looking pretty likely that the new Mary-Jane will be something of a step up from the last one (I liked Kirsten Dunst in the role, but I know I'm in the minority on that one).
