Five years after the final episode aired, the Arrested Development movie has been confirmed. Again. Yes, The O.C.'s most dysfunctional family are heading to cinemas for reals this time - just as soon as creator Mitch Hurwitz figures out how to condense the complex network of relationships and stealth jokes from 53 episodes into a mere 2 hours.

News reaches us that Jason Bateman is actively pitching a role in the Arrested Development movie for Jennifer Aniston. Clearly the man has gone rogue and must be stopped at any cost. Someone call Ice.

It's been on, off and even "hypothetical", but the Arrested Development movie has officially begun production with news that creator Mitch Hurwitz has started on the script.

Bad news for Bluth fans: it looks like the long-awaited Arrested Development movie might remain in Development Hell for a little longer. Come on!
