Beyoncé liveblog
Movie Feature | Ali | 23rd May 2013
Beyoncé! She's LITERALLY BLOODY EVERYWHERE. Scientists estimate that as many as 13% of all surfaces currently display an image of Beyoncé Knowles: she's impossible to avoid. This week, the singer/model/businesswoman lends her voice to animated adventure Epic, upgrading her media saturation from 'overwhelming' to 'suffocating'. With this in mind, I'm running a 24-hour liveblog on Beyoncé - just her general existence - marking each and every time the bloody woman booty-shakes her way into my waking day. Are you ready for this jelly?

Liveblog: The 85th Annual Academy Oscar things
Movie Feature | Matt | 24th February 2013
Because writing down quick thoughts and opinions about things as they happen is preferable to typing up a well-reasoned and cohesive article the next day.

Confession: creating the above photo made me laugh far more than it should have.

Shadow Dancer
Movie Review | Ed Williamson | 22nd August 2012
Unlike its namesake, a game for the Megadrive in which a ninja and his dog beat up a lot of other ninjas, James Marsh's Shadow Dancer is about the Troubles. This puts me in the awkward position of having little background knowledge of the Troubles to contribute, largely because I spent too much of my youth not doing my history homework so I could play Shadow Dancer on the Megadrive. You can see the bind I'm in.

Empire Awards 2012 'liveblog'

Due to an administration error, I have been given press accreditation to the Jameson Empire Awards 2012. I'm in the building, I have a laptop, and there's not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me. Except stop me.

I'm almost ready to go with Sunday's Halloween movie liveblog, after the 'incredible success' (read: 'zero retweets') of yesterday's waffling. The headcheese toasties are ready, here we go...

The Skin I Live In
Movie Review | Matt | 23rd August 2011
The chances are that anything you already know about The Skin I Live In actually amounts to very little. "Twisty", "psychological", "a bit of a headfuck"… does that sound about right? Well, yes to all of the above, and the reason you don't know any more is because this film involves a serious, changes-everything table-turn just after the midway point, which means I can't say much about the plot that doesn't run the risk of unleashing a major spoil. (*grits teeth*) Great.

Saturday smackdown: Killer Elite 2011 vs The Killer Elite 1975
Movie Feature | Luke | 25th June 2011
Kick! Punch! It's all in the mind! Renowned Prince of Subtlety Jason Statham will be exploding all over cinemas this September, in Killer Elite. But it's not the first time the title has seen used, with Sam Peckinpah beating him to it by over 35 years. So which film is the most elitist? There's only one way to find out... fiiiight!
