Martin Scorsese is going old school to cast his long-awaited Frank Sinatra biopic: he allegedly wants Al Pacino to play Ol' Blue Eyes, with Bobby De Niro as li'l ol' wine drinker Dean Martin.

Shutter Island, the latest from director Martin Scorsese, is far from perfect, but it is an excellent showcase for a master filmmaker who is still working at the top of his game, despite being in the twilight of his career.

Martin Scorsese's long-running love affair with music - first cemented with The Last Waltz, confirmed with Bowie's best ever role in After Hours and the Dylan documentaries - becomes flesh with Shine A Light. Ostensibly a recording of a Rolling Stones concert in New York, Shine A Light is actually an unwitting comedy classic.
