If 2014's Oscar-nominated movie posters told the truth
Movie Feature | Ali Gray, Matt Looker, Neil Alcock, Ed Williamson | 16th January 2014
As soon as I heard today's announcements for the 2014 Academy Awards, I opened up Photoshop and whipped up these 15 mildly amusing honest poster alternatives in five minutes flat, because I'm just that talented. Seriously. These didn't take a month, no matter what you've heard. Off the cuff humour, each and every one. And that's the truth.

A new cultural high for The Shiznit
Movie News | Ali | 25th February 2012
Apparently the UK's foremost critical thinkers on film have nothing better to do than discuss our truthful movie posters on BBC2's The Review Show. Tsk! And they didn't even read out our full web address on the air or run our URL across the bottom of the screen complete with our donation hotline!

Ten things I learned from the annual Oscar nominee photo
Movie Feature | Ali | 8th February 2012
It's my favourite time of year: the day when all 1,084 Oscar nominees gather together for their annual photo, then rush the all you can eat buffet in an attempt to get the best chicken nuggets from the dinner lady. Meryl Streep has become exceedingly efficient at it.

Movie News | Luke | 24th January 2012
A single nomination for Drive, three nominations for Transformers: Dark of The Moon, bugger all for Shame; whatever your interpretation of the Academy's choices, I hope you're all as excited about the following realisation as we are...
