Jurassic Park Week: 20 things you didn't know about Jurassic Park
Strangely when you mentioned Jurassic Park it reminded me that some of the original VHS tapes sold in the UK had spelt Michael Crichton's name wrong, ('Crighton') Curiously they spelt it correctly a little further down the cover. Oh yeah, and they spelt some of the dinosaur names wrong on the embryo vials. (you probably know that though)
Jurassic Park
Well my use of the word 'hole' wasn't ideal.
The Rex entered through an unfinished wall, remember the park was still being built when the movie takes place. Notice there is a plastic tarp stretched across one side of the rotunda, that's because there is no wall behind it, it is there to protect the interior from weather and such until the wall is built. The entrance to the rotunda is where the characters walk through, not where the Rex enters.
Look, I know it sounds like I'm clamouring to explain a flaw in defence of my favourite film, but this is not a mistake.
Here's a link to an explanation of this issue that a whole community of JP obsessives worked on, myself included: http://goo.gl/GWcBV
As a fellow JP fan I'm sure you'll be interested in what that site has to offer, it's the biggest community of JP fans on the internet. And Luke, I understand the Rex Rescue was done to please the audience, and having it pop up and chomp the raptor at the very last second is for cinematic effect, but people frequently refer to it as a mistake when it can be explained. Sorry for writing a huge comment.

Jurassic Park
I should apologise for being such a militant JP fan, but I just can't help it.
Anyway, the evidence is right there in the movie: I big gaping hole leading out into the jungle, behind the Rex. Granted it can be missed on first viewing, but a self described Jurassic Park fan is likely to have seen the film more than once. Don't get me wrong though, I really enjoyed your JP Week!

Jurassic Park
You can't claim to be "the world's biggest Jurassic Park fan" and not know how the Rex got into the rotunda.

NO WAYYYYYYYY!
I've been following him for a while, he tweets some cool video diaries and stuff. What a guy!

Jurassic Park Week: Exclusive Stan Winston interview from 2006
Stan was a genius through-and-through.
Jurassic Park Week: 10 abominable dinosaur movies
You're probably aware of this already, but Carnosaur stars Diane Ladd, who is actually Laura Dern's mother. How cool is that?
Jurassic Park Week: The many faces of Dr Ellie Sattler
The film just wouldn't be the same without her exaggerated grimaces!
Jurassic Park Week: 20 things you didn't know about Jurassic Park
Awwww, man. No way.
Don't suppose you could disclose whether there are any alterations or additions? :D

Well, it's safe to say it can't have been the Blu-Ray!
Nevermind..
