  • The Night Manager

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 8th April 2016

Dayman! Uhh-AHH-ahh! Fighter of the Night Manager! Is all I could think of when I heard the title. Then I found out it had House and Loki in it, and I was on board, although still mainly for the Dayman thing.

  • Breaking Bad: The Fifth Season DVD

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 4th June 2013

With only eight episodes to go, I have no idea whatsoever how Breaking Bad's going to finish this year, and even less how I'm going to fill the empty shell of a life it'll leave behind for me. Maybe I'll try and recreate key scenes in the shed.

  • Endeavour

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 11th January 2012

Endeavour: or, as pretty much no one except me is calling it, Rise of the Inspector of the Morses. Yes, I know it was on over a week ago, but I only just watched it last night on ITV Player. All the kids are watching on demand these days. Get with it, granddad.

  • The Kennedys

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 20th June 2011

SPOILER ALERT: I'm pretty sure the main guy dies at the end.

  • Archer

    TV Review | Nick | 5th January 2011

Imagine classic James Bond; vain, cocky, arrogant, womanising. Face facts, if he was a real guy he'd be a right cock.
Now imagine James Bond as an American, a man forced into dealing with the real world of office politics, expense accounts, training days, a hyper-sexual alcoholic mother who also happens to be his boss and a colleague/ex-girlfriend who is now sleeping her way through your office. And that's before you even start saving the world.
This is the basic premise of FX's glorious 60's (ish) twist on the spy world brought into tortuous world of the modern office.

  • Community

    TV Review | Kirsty | 4th October 2010

My favourite new show of 2009 is coming to the UK, to be shown on a channel by the name of Viva. Is that a channel? How long have I been gone? Do you guys have flying cars yet?

  • Parks and Recreation: Season One DVD

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 2nd April 2013

I know you have to reckon BBC4's amazing if you're middle class, but in the main I could do without hour-long documentaries about iron filings on a Thursday night. If I get a say how my licence fee's spent, though, I'm happy to sign off on Parks and Recreation.

  • Falling Skies – season one, episodes 1 and 2

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 13th July 2011

An dinosaur show AND an alien show? What, is Spielberg just getting people to remake all his films for TV and picking up a cheque for it? What's next, a Schindler's List game show? (*double-checks whether Matt made essentially the same joke when he posted the trailer*) Oh.

  • Entourage – season eight, episodes 1–3

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 10th August 2011

Let's start the funeral march for Entourage. Should be a pretty star-studded one if nothing else. I just hope Gary Busey doesn't knock over the coffin.

  • Justified: The Complete Third Season DVD

    TV Review | Ed Williamson | 4th March 2013

I might have been guilty in the past of pointing out that Timothy Olyphant looks like a date-rapist, and I stand by that. But at the time I'd never been exposed to the splendour of Justified.
